Happy New Year! Did everyone enjoy their last day of 2017? We certainly did! On the afternoon of New Year’s Eve, Green Glass Green headed out to the pedestrianized zone of Mongkok to hold its last roadshow of the year.
Though we initially worried about being able to recruit volunteers on this particular day, it turns out that we had nothing to fear. We were lucky enough to have three fantastic individuals sign up to be volunteers, and they fell quickly into the roles of glass recycling educator and game facilitator. Without them, the roadshow would have been nowhere near as smooth in its activities, or as enjoyable!
The flow of people in Mongkok on this day was high, and we were so grateful that many of you (both young and old!) stopped to listen and ask about glass recycling in the city, and also to play our games. I hope you were inspired, at least a little, to live a more sustainable lifestyle. Let’s all work harder to make 2018 an even greener year! After seeing the passion of so many people on Sunday, I believe we can do it.
