to enable participants:

1.    to understand why glass recycling is important and urgent item in waste management; and
2.    to initiate actions to conserve and recover natural resources.  

Activity 1:  A talk on Glass Recycling in Hong Kong

The participants will be able to know more about the nature of ‘waste glass’ and how the ‘waste’ being recycled in Hong Kong. Let’s also share other possible ways of reuse and recycling glass bottles. In this session, an eco-friend will demonstrate his natural and artist way of glass n plants. Please bring with you a glass container that you may have a surprise to make a potted plant with it!

Activity 2: Visiting the Glass Brick Factory & Eco Park in Tuen Mun

An on-site visit to see how recycled glass turned into paving bricks; and a bonus to visit the Eco Park on various recyclable products.

Remarks: 1. Participants must have attended Activity 1; or pass the quiz and priz successfully;
              2. Please put on shoes with proper protection (e.g. no flippers) and comfortable outfit; you                       are advised to bring with you sunblock, drinking water and some snacks
              3. Return between 1 pm to 1:30 pm;
